life...things..

it goes by quickly.
it's not as hard as you think it will be.
it's harder than you think it is.

people come and go, you will lose as many friends as you gain over the years. people come in and out of your life. it is not bad, weird, unnormal, or strange. it is part of the cycle of growing. which is a never-ending cycle, by the way. in case you have not noticed, there are hundreds of phases that we, individuals, go through as we propel ourselves forward and, seemingly, come to a screeching halt if not push ourselves out of line, to the back, in the crowd of "unknowns".
what is "unknown"? most of the time it is our direction in life, our path, our journey. why is it so hard to stay on the track just like the rest of the cars? it is a battlefield. there are invisible mines that you step on, and before you know it you are on the ground in pieces, trying to figure out what the hell happened for you to be at this point.

it's funny, sometimes, when you realize how many times you've fallen on your face, thinking your world as you knew it was over, and then you just get back up. really, its that easy. get off your sorry ass and keep moving. keep kicking your legs and flailing your arms, and you won't drown. breathe in and out, and you won't suffocate. picture yourself in the world that you want to be a part of, and visualize the steps it will take to get you there... you will get there. your reality is a creation. who creates it? "well, shit, i dont know." YOU do. your conscience and subconscience are responsible for all of your realizations, opinions, problems, solutions, and fears. if you determine all of these things, even unknowingly, can you not control yourself and the outcomes of your actions? yes, you can.
you are in control.
you are your own boss.

my mom always says, "get with the living".
it is true... when you are feeling sorry for yourself, looking at your surroundings and feeling hopeless and helpless, exactly what is that attitude doing for you? is it improving the way you see things, people; is it providing you with enough self-respect to get past the jealousy you have for others? you are dying and you dont even realize it.
get with the living.
move, do, act, create, change, see, feel, think, be.
get with the living.
try, attempt, succeed.
get with the living.
make yourself who you want to be.
get with the living.

  1. I never considered this before, but I think you'd make a great motivational/personal experience writer in the near future.
